There is a suggested timeframe for sending each of your wedding paper goods, including your save the dates, invitations, and thank you cards.
Save the Dates: You should send your save the dates about six months before your wedding date, and eight months before your wedding date if you are having a destination wedding.
Wedding Invitations: The general rule of thumb is to send wedding invitations six to eight weeks before your wedding date, and about three months before your wedding date if you are having a destination wedding. You should also make a note on the invitations that your guests should send their RSVP two to three weeks before your wedding date so that you have ample time to get a final head count to send to your vendors.
Thank You Cards: You should send thank you cards at least three months from the date that you received your gift, but preferably earlier! We know that you have a lot of tasks to accomplish around the time of your wedding, so try to set a daily goal of how many thank you cards you will write each day so this task doesn’t seem so overwhelming!
